Welcome to the Community of Our Lady of Sorrows
“Benedict’s way is the way of Christ, who welcomed without distinction and set before people a vision of what they might become.” (Elizabeth Canham)
You have found the Community of Our Lady of Sorrows, an ecumenical Chapter of the Order of St. Benedict.
We are Christians from many faith traditions who have found in the Rule of St. Benedict a way to deepen our relationship with Christ and live our faith more intentionally in the ordinary circumstances of everyday life. Some of us are Oblates, some are Associates, and others are still exploring where the Benedictine way may lead them.
Our Chapter follows the Rule of St. Benedict (480-547 A.D.) and are made up of Christians from all faith traditions. In these pages you will find information about Benedictine spirituality- pathway to holiness, the Rule of St Benedict, membership, the history of our Chapter, as well as how to Contact us.
We invite you to “come and see” how a life lived within a framework of Benedictine spirituality can be uplifting, enriching and fulfilling, not only for you but those people who are a part of your life. If you would like a deeper relationship with Christ and the support of a loving community of people who share your goals and ideals, contact us. Come to a meeting, join an Inquirer’s class, learn to live a life of joy within a struggling world. We are waiting to welcome you.
Our next meeting is: October 3, 2026
